End-User License Agreement

Pen and Ledger Accounting · Last updated 27 June 2026

This End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") governs use of the Pen and Ledger Accounting application ("the App"), a private integration operated by Pen and Ledger ("we", "us"). By authorizing the App to connect to a QuickBooks Online company, you ("you", "the client") agree to these terms.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely to receive bookkeeping and accounting services from Pen and Ledger. The App is provided for use by Pen and Ledger and its authorized clients only and is not offered to the general public.

2. Access and scope

The App accesses QuickBooks Online accounting data only for companies you have explicitly authorized through Intuit's OAuth consent. You may revoke this access at any time from your Intuit account's connected-apps settings (see How to disconnect).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to access data for companies you are not authorized to manage, and not to interfere with or reverse-engineer the App other than as permitted by law.

4. Data

Use of your data is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

5. Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. It is a tool that supports bookkeeping work and does not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pen and Ledger is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the App. Nothing in this Agreement limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

6. Termination

This license ends automatically if you disconnect the App or terminate your engagement with Pen and Ledger. We may suspend the App for maintenance or security reasons.
